ValuMap legal
Terms of Use
Version 2026-08-31-draft
These terms cover who can use ValuMap, what the published market information is and is not, how accounts and attachments work, and how the separate professional valuation service relates to this site.
About these terms
ValuMap is operated by Claro for Valuation and Studies (“Claro”, “we”, “us”) of 3101 The Prime Tower, Business Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. By using ValuMap, creating an account, or sending a valuation request you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
Who can use ValuMap
You must be at least 18 years old to create a ValuMap account or to send a valuation request. If you use ValuMap on behalf of a company or another person, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for them.
Your account
The details you give us — your name, email address, and contact phone number — must be accurate and kept up to date. Each email address and each contact phone number can belong to only one ValuMap account.
You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for what happens under your account. Sessions are per device: signing in on one device does not sign you out on another, and signing out ends only the session on the device you are using. If you think somebody else has access to your account, change your password and tell us at info@clarodubai.ae.
Acceptable use
Use ValuMap lawfully and reasonably. In particular, do not:
- register or sign in using somebody else’s identity, email address, or phone number;
- try to gain unauthorised access to any account, data, or system;
- interfere with the service, scrape it at a scale that degrades it, or work around rate limits and security controls;
- upload content that is unlawful, that infringes someone’s rights, or that contains malware;
- resell the published market information or republish it as if it were your own.
Published market information is indicative
The figures, indicators, area pages, phase readings, comparisons, and articles published on ValuMap are indicative market information. They are produced from the data available to us and they are general in nature.
They are not a valuation, and they are not investment, legal, tax, or financial advice. They do not take account of your circumstances, of the condition of a specific property, or of the terms of any transaction, so do not rely on them alone when deciding to buy, sell, lend, or invest. Nothing published on ValuMap is an endorsement, an approval, or a commitment by any bank, lender, mortgage provider, insurer, or authority.
Professional valuation is a separate service
A professional valuation is a separate service. Claro carries it out under a separate engagement with its own scope, terms, and fees, agreed with you outside ValuMap.
Sending a valuation request through ValuMap is a request, not an engagement and not an accepted instruction. We may ask you for more information, or decline the request.
ValuMap does not store prices, quotations, invoices, payment status, or payment data, and it does not accept online payments. Everything to do with fees and payment happens outside ValuMap, under that separate engagement.
Files you attach
By attaching a file to a valuation request you confirm that you are entitled to share it with us, and that sharing it does not breach a confidentiality obligation, an intellectual property right, or any other right of a third party. You give us permission to store the file and to use it in order to handle your request.
Do not upload malware or unlawful content. Attachments are scanned before they are accepted, and a file that fails the scan is rejected — a rejected upload never becomes part of your request. We may also refuse an upload that breaches these terms, or quarantine an already accepted file so that it can no longer be opened. We do not delete accepted attachments: a destructive step is taken only where applicable law, a competent authority, or our authorized legal advisers require it, and it is then carried out and documented manually.
Attachments are private: they are not published on ValuMap and they are not shown to other users.
Blocking and availability
We may block an account that breaches these terms, that is used unlawfully, or where blocking is needed to protect the service or other people. Blocking ends every session of that account. If your account is blocked and you believe that is wrong, write to info@clarodubai.ae.
We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of ValuMap, including any published market information, and we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance windows and outages happen.
Intellectual property and third-party services
ValuMap, its content, its design, its indicators, and the methodology behind them belong to Claro or to its licensors. You may read and quote published market information for your own use with a clear attribution to Claro / ValuMap. You may not copy it wholesale, redistribute it, or build a competing product from it without our written permission.
Content you send us stays yours. You give us only the permission we need in order to store it and use it to run the service and handle your request.
ValuMap relies on third-party services such as maps, hosting, and email delivery. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for content they provide.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the mandatory law of the United Arab Emirates — including liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and any liability owed to you as a consumer that the law protects.
Subject to that, ValuMap and the market information published on it are provided as they are, and to the fullest extent the law allows we are not liable for a decision you take on the basis of indicative market information, for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, of opportunity, or of data. Our liability for a professional valuation is governed by the separate engagement for that valuation, not by these terms.
Governing law and where disputes are heard
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them.
This does not take away any right that mandatory UAE consumer protection law gives you to rely on the protection of that law, or to bring a claim in the forum that law makes available to you.
Your data and how long we keep it
We keep your account information, your valuation requests, and any files you attach indefinitely while we operate this service, including after an account is blocked or a request is completed or cancelled. The service does not currently offer a way for you, or for our administrators, to delete this data, and we do not delete it automatically. If applicable law, or a decision by a competent authority or our authorized legal advisers, requires us to erase, restrict, or preserve specific data, we will carry that out manually. The Privacy Policy sets this out in full, together with your rights and how to exercise them.
Changes to these terms
Every version of these terms carries the version identifier shown at the top of this page, and we record the version you accepted when you registered. If we change them in a way that materially affects you we will publish the new version here and, where the law requires it, ask you to accept it again.
